Pally libram's and upgrade gear holes

Hello Tankadin's

So I am gearing up my Tankadin and I have run into some sticky spots. I can get most of my slots filled with I-level 219 and 200 gear from TOC and Heroics, but there are 3 big holes.

1.) Libram - There are several that can be purchased for 15-25 Conquest badges. Which ones should I get first? As a new tank my priority should be avoidance/mitigation. At the same time, badges are very precious, I need them to fill other gear holes.

2.) Bracers - It looks like there is only one epic bracer drop and no crafted options for less Than $$$$. Am I pretty much stuck running Heroic old kingdom and NAXX until something drops?

3.) Chest - Pretty much the 58 emblem chest is my only options outside of NAXX. Anyother suggestions?

This all leads to the big question. If I am kitted out in all TOC and crafted epics, BIS enchants and Epic Gems, would I be able to hack it as a tank(Assuming all my other raid contributions are on par) for Day1 ULD 10 or 25 with i-level 200 blues in the bracer and chest slots? I will of course do the best I can and check with RL before signing up with a setup like that, but it is worth thinking about with the likely slide of NAXX off the Raiding Schedule.

Ok, after hitting a couple heroics tonight I am pretty sure I can get the badges for an epic chest with out to much trouble. I could still use suggestions on a libram though

I appear to be doing a great job of answering my own questions. just goes to show you that a little effort and research can go a long way. The missleadingly named conquest emblem Libram of the Sacred Shieldis the way to go for a Newbie tank. It is a pretty significant buff to both TPS and mitigation. If you have the Emblems of Triumph, the Libram of Defiance provides better survivability. The Libram of Obstruction is still not bad, but probably not worth while if you don't have it already or have 15 emblems of heroism and nothing better to do with them. It only costs 4 less emblems than than the Libram of the Sacred Shield, but could out preform that libram if you are tanking more than 5 mobs or 4 very fast hitting mobs.

PS. Still can't think of a good solution to the bracers problem other than running NAXX or the HAN:Old Kingdom until the epic bracers drop.

The 245 Libram should be your first (and only) Libram purchase. It is stupidly better than all the others, as it has a 100% uptime on 200 dodge rating. Very uber. Only 13 daily heroics required to get it, so it's not that bad.

You can get Bracers for 60 Valor badges (those are the ones below Conquest badges - you can turn conquests into Valor by buying Valor badges from the Conquest item vendor). Even better, you can find an alt / someone else who has a ton of badges and get them to buy them for you (the bracers are BOE).

For your chestpiece, use Icebane until you can get the badge one. The stamina is HUGE (more than the T8.5 actually), and it's got 3 gem slots so you can toss tons of Defense rating into it to get you to the cap.

You can clear Uld-10 with crafted/badge/ToC5 gear, and you can definitely do Uld-25 night 1 as well.

Thanks for the advice Hamm! I would have never thought to use the icebane as my main tanking chest, though I was planning on grabing one for the Fr resist. I think I even have all the mats in the bank. I already bought the conquest libram, I figure it wasn't to many badges and I can make them back pretty quickly. It is still a massive upgrade to what I had. Unfortunately usually play sporadically, but for a long time at each sitting, so getting to all those daily heroics will probably take me 2 months. I'd like to make it into a raid in less time than that! Still, the triamphlibram is now first on my to buy list.

Anyone got 60 valor badges and want to sell me some bracers?
